A Journey with Mother Goddesses

Mother Goddeses

Through the course of this journey, you will meet and get to know specific Mother Goddesses: Iaca, Lakshmi, Aphrodite, the Macaw Woman, Danu, Isis, Durga, Tiamat, and Hecate. The Mother archetype represents nurturing in all forms. The Mother Goddesses you will meet and the aspects of life you will explore are described further below. During this course, connection with these Goddesses will help you reflect upon how you were fed physically, emotionally, and intellectually, as you were growing up.

Reflections on Your Childhood

Our mothers were the first to shape the way we relate to all types of nutrition. Connection to each Mother Goddess, as well as questions for reflection, will help you remember and reflect upon your upbringing and your relationship with your own primary caregiver, who was, very often, your mother. For the purpose of this work, we are focusing on maternal energy and how it manifested in your life when you were a child, so you may have the opportunity to uncover truths about yourself that might be rooted in this relationship.

Chakra Cleansing & Empowerment

Each aspect of life explored on this journey coincides with one or more of the chakra energy centers. You will visit your ideas about each aspect and how those ideas may have been formed, and then cleanse the corresponding chakra energy center so that you may begin to heal. Then, you will empower the corresponding chakra energy center, allowing the energy to flow so you can grow. This is accomplished through a healing meditation and an empowering dance.

Magical Cooking

Since you will be working with the energy of nutrition, cooking magic is also included in each phase. This is an opportunity to explore new flavors and textures as one of the methods of connecting to the energy of each Goddess. It is also an opportunity to exercise the power of self-nurturing. The food will enrich and strengthen you as you dive deep on your healing path. The beverage will nurture you and help you connect as you meditate.

Witch's Ladder

During the journey, you will be making a witch’s ladder to help concentrate the energy you are generating and molding and remind you of wisdom you have acquired along the way. A witch's ladder in Witchcraft is an item made from a cord, feathers,

and other magical items of your choosing. During each phase, you will add to your witch's ladder. When you finish, you will have your own completed witch's ladder for healing and harmonizing all of the aspects of life you explored.
