My spiritual background

I am Neopagan, a Witch, and specifically a Wiccan Priestess, which means I celebrate Nature’s cycles and I am devoted to the Goddess as the Great Mother, and the God, as Her Son and Consort.

I was born in Philadelphia in 1973 and raised in New Jersey, as a Roman Catholic. As I was growing up, I have to confess (pun intended) that I did not feel very inspired by the religion of my youth. The beauty and grandiosity was appealing to me, as well as the concept of Divine Power and Divine Love. However, the structure within which it was presented to me did not give me the blessed, awe-filled sensation I wished it did. Actually, as a child, I didn't know what I should have been feeling. But then in my early 20's, I began to crave spiritual connection. When I came upon the Goddess Path, I studied solitarily for a while and realized I had come upon something truly moving and inspiring, the discovery of the Goddess in Nature and within me, and I heard the calling to live in Her honor in whatever form that might take. So I celebrated my own Self-Initiation into Priestesshood in honor of the Great Mother in 2002. I declared myself a Witch. Since then, I have practiced Paganism continuously, within groups and on my own. Blessed be those who dance together, and blessed be those who dance alone...

This Self-Initiation happened after I had moved from the United States to Sao Paulo, Brazil in my late 20´s. In 2004, I joined the Dianic Tradition of Brazil and then was initated as a Priestess in that tradition in 2006. I began leading a Circle beginning 2007, which in turn became a Coven called the Red Coven of Sidhe in 2019 when I was named a High Priestess. The celebrating and and magical work we engaged in, which brought about deep self-awareness, healing, and  transformation, offered me some of the most meaningful and joyful moments of my life. I found close friends and confidants, as well as my husband, through my Priestesshood. Later, with the desire to broaden my scope and study with a tradition based in the United States, I joined the Apple Branch Tradition in 2021. In late 2022, I was inspired to modify my spiritual practice, focus my energies differently, and leave the Red Coven of Sidhe in order to explore new possibilities.  I continued serving the Great Mother and earned my Master's Degree in Divinity through the Liminal Thealogical Center. In April 2023, I cofounded a Coven called the Coven Arara Vermelha (Red Macaw Coven) where I now serve as High Priestess.

With this, I describe my path as of the Goddess, Neopagan, and Wiccan. My meditations, magical actions, and celebrations are all carried out through devotion to a Goddess deity, and most often the God as well. In my practice (and in my online offerings), I do not replicate ancient or indigenous rituals. I celebrate the essence of each chosen deity with due respect and reverence based on a mixture of mythological and/or folkloric background, traditional customs or magical practices, and my own personal inspiration, while using a ritual structure as practiced within the religion of Wicca.

Many of my magical workings, journeys, and spells focus on healing, and much of my work is purely devotional. The journeys proposed in my online courses are based on my personal practice which I developed while working with others and also cultivating my own intimate relationship with the Goddess. They were inspired by healing work I have developed over several years while working through issues that I have personally struggled with. I thank those who have explored with me for their support as I conjured up these workings, and for continued sisterhood and brotherhood even as our paths diverged. Since my practice is pancultural, the Goddess takes many forms and is given many names, and her voice can be heard in innumerous ways. I am grateful for all I continue to learn and experience on my path, and certain that the inspiration for this work came through the voice of the Goddess as she expressed herself through my everyday Priestesshood and through celebrating with others I have worked with over the last two decades.

My hope is that the workings I share here may benefit your practice and be a catalyst for the healing and transformation you seek. I wish you blessings on your personal path to well being.

I present these offerings to the public with an open heart.
